Full-Time Business Manager

ROLE SUMMARYKEY

ELEMENTS Human Resources - management of personnel, implementation of policies and procedures keeping track of staff PDP, performance management. Evaluating staff functions, capabilities and relevance to the business, recruitment and selection Plan, direct, and coordinate the operations of the firm, overseeing multiple departments. Duties and responsibilities include formulating internal processes, managing daily operations. In addition, purchasing, stock control and administrative services.

Strategic marketing— Assisting the business development specialist carrying out the relevant analyses, formulate objectives to achieve the business plan and develop strategies and marketing plans. Ensure the marketing infrastructure and resources are managed effectively. Direct the implementation of these plans whether they concern market development, service development or any other promotional, selling and relationship development activities.

Communications and lead generation—manage all communication channels, profile raising and lead generation campaigns to ensure the firm is positioned appropriately and the right level of engagement and lead generation is achieved.

New business development—assisting in the management of the leads pipeline from targeting to lead generation and through the process to the point of conversion to client.  Support the lawyers in their marketing and business development activities.

Relationship management—help in the implementation of the strategies and ensure key relationships, whether with intermediaries or major clients, are managed in a strategic manner. Support the lawyers in their implementation.

Paralegal / Client Relationship Officer

Due to changes within the organisation and the growth of the firm, the organisation is now looking to hire a Paralegal to join our team
As a Paralegal/Client Relationship Officer, you will assist fee earners on their caseloads, which will help progress you onto handling your own caseload. You will also be the focal point of contact with clients, acknowledging new requests and answering client queries

Vacancy Associate Lawyer – Khartoum

SCLO has a vacancy for a lawyer in our Khartoum Office to commence as soon as possible. We have an opening for a first-rate Lawyer with general commercial and corporate law, ideally with 3-5 years’ experience in commercial law/commercial litigation. It is essential that the candidate has a strong academic background (minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent standard) with excellent written communication and drafting skills.
The successful candidate will also have outstanding technical skills, together with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues and work well in a team.

The role will include:
Conducting in-depth research across a wide range of focuses including practice-specific areas of law, business intelligence, public records, legislative history, and news/media
Representing clients before Sudanese courts and arbitration tribunals
Enforcing judgments and awards including foreign judgments and awards
Commercial registration procedures
Drafting legal advice and opinions
Managing and developing client relationships
Preparing and drafting legal reports and conducting due diligence
Case management
Actively participating in business development/client events.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Sudanese qualified lawyer with a specific interest in commercial and corporate transactions.
Keen to handle a range of commercial and corporate matters, litigation and alternative dispute resolution procedures, producing high quality work at all times Substantial knowledge and experience of using electronic information sources and IT applications
Excellent academic record
Excellent command of the English language both spoken and written.
